Sketches in Thyme has a circle in the Sketch this week

Today is another new Sketch at Sketches in Thyme. I found this one more challenging because I am circle challenged, but figured it out and I found it to be fun. I wanted to do some Christmas pictures of my "MEN" so I did a different spin on them.

and here is my take on it using an older line from Imaginisce and it worked.

Back to work and back to blogging. I had a nice vacation and now it is time to scrap more.

So I got My Minds Eye -- Kraft Funday with accessories. I got some pictures of my son an his new toy and started to play. The sketch I got was perfect for it.

H Ladies,

My last post of 2011. For my birthday my son gave me a weekend at a scrapping retreat. So my friends were there and we had a birthday party and scrapped all weekend.
On night we ended up doing new techniques doing Tim Holtz Tags of Christmas. We shared and pooled our Tim supplies and this is what I came up with.

The tag pictured was Day 10 and by far it was the most beautiful. I loved the technique of putting Santa on the pendants.

This was my favorite technique of kissing the stamp. I love how the deer came out and it really amazes me. This was one of the extra tags he showed and I forgot what day.

Last we did Day 5 and that is a really cool technique that fascinated all of us. I used a Martha Stewart punch to do the wreath and I think it came out similar to Tim's.

Hope you enjoyed my spin n the 12 Tags of Christmas. Next year I will do more and I promise to finish the other 9 throughout the year and frame them.

As I told you this weekend was my birthday and my son paid for me to go to a scrap weekend with some friends. He ha been planning it since August. I think I will keep him.

So I thought I would share the Christmas Cards, Gift Cards and Ornament I made.

Not sure which is my favorite card. They were all fun to do and my friends will love them.

Note to self this ornament takes a lot of time, but does look nice. I think it took about 2 hours an would you believe I am giving it away to someone who will appreciate it.

Loved doing these ornament they were Tim Holtz techniques.

The French Birthday Card for the Reveal at My Sketch World

Well today is the 15th so that means a reveal from MY SKETCH WORLD. Once again I had fun with this sketch and use the color combinatin of a beige and black. I used Graphic 45 which is usually a challenging line to work with. I wanted to make a birthday card for our French Teacher and I think I nailed it.

Boys Rule Scrapbook Kit -- ROCKS!!! Check it out.

Hi Everyone,

I have something to shout to you about what I am doing this month. I am a Guest Designer for a fairly new site that has 2 kits a month that deals with BOY. One is for the younger set and one for the older boys or Men. The site is called: Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits.
This month's kit is fabulous for the older boys it contains a lot of Tim Holtz and I have had so much fun playing with it and still have more I want to do.

Here is a layout I did with the kit"

I did this layout of Matthew from last month. I used Walnut stain around the edges of the pattered paper, Tim Holtz Kraft Core that has been distressed, burlap that I frayed the edges, the sprocket gears are grunge that has been embossed by the CuttleBug and stained along with smooch and then I added some Tim Holtz trinkets on top. Everything, I mean everything was in the kit except the Kraft Core paper. I had fun playing with this.

Here is a close up of the Idea-ology sprocket gears and the grunge sprockets with smooch spritz

The next layout is another one of Matthew and I call it "my handyman", this is when he remodeled the kitchen.

on this one I used grunge, screw brads, CuttleBug to emboss on the grunge and spray it with smooch Olive Green, then I used the cording to put around my journaling. The blue paper is Coredinations from my stash.

Sketches in Thyme is having a call and I thought I would share this with everyone. I also did a layout based on the sketch. It is of my son Kenny on his 25th Birthday in Catalina Ziplining. I used Jillibean Soup's Apple Cheddar Soup Collection., including their tags and letters. This is a fun manly layout.

Brandi in her Tutu using Sketches in Thyme #57

I was inspired last weekend by this sketch at Sketches in Thyme:

I knew I had taken some pictures of Brandi in her Halloween Tutu, but she was NOT liking it at all. she just wanted to play with the range bear that squeaked. so I had to make these pictures really fast and here is what I got.

I used Authentique's Halloween collection with orange pearls, fuzzy cut the diamonds and used Creative Imaginations Sparkly alphabet letters.

October's Card for My Sketch World

Hi everyone in Blog Land,
I created a card using a sketch from My Sketch World and it was totally out of my box, but I jumped in and took the challenge and made it into a Halloween card and I think it might be my favorite one.

Here is the sketch that Lucy did:

Remember the challenge is circles and the card, but this is what I came up with.

I added a different shape that I cut from my Stampin'Up die, orange and black construction paper, prima flowers, glittered pumpkin from stash, elastic ruffled white ribbon and I made the circle using Doodlebug Halloween Twine. The card was a vintage Halloween Clip Art.

My GDT challenge at Citrus Tree Studio using the kit with American Crafts paper

Today is the 10th and I am so excited that I get to issue a challenge on Citrus Tree Studio today. I hope you come play since we always have a change to win a prize for the challenges you do.

My challenge deals with COLORS.
I did not want to make it the Halloween colors unless you wanted to, so I came up with I want you to use BLACK & WHITE with a splash of any color (just one) that you would like. So you can use Orange or any other colors you want.
In my example I used Black, White, with a splash of Goldish Yellow.
Here is my example:

I used the pictures from Kenny & Christine going to Canada on the Ferry. I used the papers from the kit that is sold at Citrus Tree Studio, it was so great to work with and has a lot of paper to work with along with great embellishments. I did use a strip of black paper from my stash and some letters from Creative Imaginations.

Sassy Lil Sketches, last post since they are closing (insert sad face here)

I want to share with you that I was selected to be the Guest DT At Citrus Tree Studio. Cindy sent me a kit called, Hayrides and Halloween. It is a fantastic kit that has 2 sheets of each paper by American Crafts along with some other goodies in the kit. I loved working with it and it did challenge me to be creative outside of my box. As you can see I made layouts and cards. I will be issuing a challenge on the 10th and I would love for you to come play.

Here is what I created:

This is my favorite layout that I created. All the supplies except the scallops were sprayed with Tattered Angels Buttercup.

I did one traditional Halloween layout of Brandi in her Tutu and I added the word Halloween in orange bling from my stash. Here is a close up of the title.

Next i made some Halloween cards using the kit only.

My Favorite Card I have made at Sassy Lil Sketches, I just love the sketch

Life has been busy and so has work. I don't seem to have enough hours in the day to accomplish everything I need to. I figure it will take me about 2 more weeks to get organized and caught up with life.
Today at Sassy Lil Sketches is the reveal I did for the card.

I really liked this sketch and fun with it to make another Back To School Card using Fancy Pants. I had a lot of fun using this paper and embellishments.
So here is my take on this:

I fussy cut the cards and the paper has all kinds of pencils. See how fun it is!

SCRAP AN OBJECT for Nikki Sivils

I did this challenge for the Nikki Sivils challenge for September. You were supposed to SCRAP AN OBJECT using 75% of Nikki's paper. So I scrapped about my morning cup of chai from Starbucks using the line called Something for Everyone. (I thought the blues and greens were perfect to accent the Starbucks cup I wanted to highlight. I know Nikki loves corner on pictures so I used them to accent the corners of the 12 X 12 sheet of green I used. I also liked that this line came with a die cut circle with scallops.) When I started school in September my barista had my cup waiting at the time I usually come in. She even wrote a nice "Welcome", which made my day.

and if you look close I used bling on the banner and in each corner on the the squares (now those squares were fussy cut from the paper). Here is an up close picture of the bling.

It is hard to see but each square has

tiny bling to accent the square inside the triangle.

My simple Happy Birthday card

I forgot to show you this card I made last weekend. I saw a similar one during the summer and thought I would give it a try and I absolutely love how it came out. This reminds me of a monochromatic card with one of my top companies and it is very simplistic (is that a word).

Here it is:

The next shot is a picture up close that shows that is the only place on the card that says Happy Birthday and I used the corrugated frame to highlight it. I added the Butterflies from Jillibean Soup and accessorized it for accent.

Some things I did this weekend

Today I needed to have some down time so I created 2 cards and 1 layout and it has helped from a heck tick week.
I followed no sketches only the ideas in my mind of things I wanted to try out and now think will use more.
Here is my layout:

Below are the special touches I did to add to the layout. I made flowers out of old patterns, added some bling, added a journal card in a craft bag and then put some lace trim on the bottom of that. The paper is from the Urban Garden Collection. This is my son's Grandmother who is very special to us and I just love this picture of her.

Now here is a card I tried:

I had this chipboard and decided to wrap some twine around it to make a flower. I have seen this months ago and wanted to try it and you know how I always need birthday cards.

My last card is made using of my favorite paper scraps from other things I have done. I absolutely love this paper from My Mind's Eye -- Stella Rose and am hoping I never run out of it, but I know it will happen soon.

I am a Guest Designer for SKETCHES IN THYME this month

As you read from my title I am the Guest Designer for the month of September at Sketches in Thyme. I love their sketches and they inspire me to become creative and add my little spin. I like the fact you have all month to complete the layouts. Usually week 1 & 2 are sketches and the last week is do whatever sketch you like from whatever blog you saw it at.
I had a lot of fun with this since I have so many sketches that I have been saving to do. I found one that fit the picture I wanted to use perfectly.
I am trying to scrap some old pictures this year since I found a whole crate of them that have been untouched. The boys like to see themselves scrapped and remember back when.

I did this layout of me at Disneyland on my Birthday. So I would remember several years from now I turned the mouse ears into my age and the sketch came from Jillibean Soup. I used their products in doing the layout.

A Cupcake Reveal for Sassy Lil Sketches

Hello Everyone,

Today is the Reveal for Sassy Lil Sketches. This has to be one of my very favorites! I had fun playing with it and used my favorite paper of Girl's Paperie, which I pull out for that "special" card.

Here is the sketch:

The sketch is very versatile, but it was screaming cupcake to me. So I started playing and came up with my creation. I hope you enjoy it, I know the person that got it LOVES it.

Paper is Girl's Paperie, pearls, white and red polka dot ribbon and the cupcake wrapper was scored and folded to resemble a cupcake wrapper and I used an assortment of little flowers using pop dots to adhere them.

Some Challenges I did this weekend

Hi,
I had a fabulous weekend of being able to scrap 2 days and accomplish so much, including DT Work and Challenges.
The challenges are the Pagemaps Blog (for the sketch) and CropStop Blog (for the pearls).

and I loved the sketch and it inspired me to use a Taylor Expression Key Ingredient Kit using the paper from My Minds Eye -- Stella Rose Gertie. The Sentiment is from Recollections and the pearls are by Kaiser Scrapbook. I t just all came together with all the yummy colors and sketch.

FABULOUS DESSERT FROM MATTHEW'S BIRTHDAY

Today I felt like completing a layout challenge on Practical Scrappers. It is their 2nd Anniversary so each day they gave a piece to the layout. I began pulling all my supplies and today they added the last 2 pieces and I had to remember the time since it was another time zone. I thought I looked it up correct, but was off and things happened that were not in my control -- the computer didn't want to work in the last few minutes I had, earlier the neighbors to our side and behind decided to sit on the wall and hold a pinata string which drove the dogs crazy and I was afraid they would get his leg. Who would have thought this would happen? I don't know them since it is a rental.
Anyway these are the ingredients and you can mix them.

Day One: CARDSTOCK & PATTERNED PAPER (Easy to see my dotted white paper and black and red cardstock)
Day Two: FLOWER (OR FLOWERS) & RIBBON (Pleated ribbon at bottom of picture and flowers are after and before the word dessert and on the buttons)
Day Three: BUTTON (OR BUTTONS) & BLING (Buttons holding up banner and bling on flower, also letters)
Day Four: STICKER (OR STICKERS) & INK (ANY TYPE - MARKER, PAD, DISTRESSING, ETC) (Stickers are the letters and the banner is inked black)
Day Five: FLOSS OR TWINE & SOMETHING RED (Twine is holding the banner up and in the buttons and red is all over the layout)
Day Six: BRAD (OR BRADS) & CHIPBOARD (One brad in center of picture and the banner is chipboard inked)

Well, I did the sketch challenge at Practical Scrappers using Matthew's 26th Birthday at Capital Grille. I changed it up a bit using a more elegant color of black and white since that restaurant was fabulous and the Chef there is a personal friend of mine.

Sweet Threads makes a cute card

Today is reveal day at Sassy Lil Sketches and my card is up for you to see. I enjoyed using Basic Grey, "Sweet Threads" line (love those colors to mix and match, two flowers attached with a brad, a sentiment rub on, and one of my Martha Stewart punches. Blog Hop Challenge

Today I have a challenge that I did for the CropStop blog and this is the last one that will make it into the challenges. I did this one for Heidi's blog. I used Basic Grey Sweet Thread papers, made a bow using the paper, a pink button with twine and blingy letters.

The challenge was to add some sparkle or bling to the project and you know that is right up my alley.

A Few Challenges for Crop Stop

I heard about this blog hop and thought I would do a few cards for it. One that is pink and one that has a banner. So I had a few cards to make and did some thinking and came up with these.

This card uses the paper Stella & Rose by My Minds Eye. I used the sticker banner from the embellishment pack and made a Thank you card for a friend. This was done for Katie's challenge.

This card I used Basic Grey's Sweet Threads paper line. I also used a Martha Stewart punch with a little doily that was also Martha Stewart. I love brightening my friends faces with the cards I make. This challenge was done for Vicki's challenge.

A Layout that covers 2 challenges

I started out doing this challenge for Nikki Sivils blog and then Crop Stop has a blog hop challenge so it ended up being a double dipper and that does not always happen for me, since I don't do a lot of challenges.
Nikki asked for us to do a layout with animals and Crop Stop wanted a layout with your favorite animal so here it is:

Now the Layout is using Nikki's paperline called Something for Everyone and then I used Doggie bones that are die cut from light cardstock and sprayed with Tattered Angels in Creme de Coco and Wheatfields. I also used some twine to accent and hang the bones.
I had fun with this since my son is a chef I had to get the Chef hat from Petco and a scarf, the apron did not fit. So now I have many chef's in the house.

Can't believe it is Reveal Day at Sassy Lil' Sketches

Well, today is the 14th of June and I can't believe it is reveal day for Sassy Lil Sketches and I almost forgot. As you can tell it has been crazy since I am still in school till the 30th of this month -- all I can say is this is the longest school year ever.

Anyway enough of my personal life and onto my sketch and reveal -- thanks for understanding my tardiness and I won't let it happen again.

Here is the sketch I had a chance to work with and Katie did a fantastic job with it so you can really make it your own.

Here is my card using bright paper from Pebbles paper using the Happy Go Lucky Line.

Cupcards challenges for May

I found two challenges over at Cupcards To Go that I wanted to finish this weekend and make some birthday cards I needed to do.
The first challenge I did was to use Ruffles on your project. My take on this was to make a flower using my ruffled lace I had. I took pictures of the steps since it came out so good.

These were the supplies I used to make my own sticky back to hold the ruffled lace. I used a 2" circle punch, some 2 sided sticky paper, the ruffled lace, and some Doodlebug Bling.

Inspiring owl sketch for Sassy Lil Sketches

Wow, this month is really flying and it is already the 28th of May. With that said I can say that it is reveal date at Sassy Lil Sketches. I loved the sketch this month, because it let me use a really cute owl that was found on a cricut cartridge. I used the negative and the positive in different colors and it worked.

So the sketch is on the right side. I was very fortunate that I got to use one of my favorite lines in Jillibean Soup.

Nikki Sivils Card & Layout from sketch

I found this on Nikki Sivils blog and thought I should try it so this weekend I went scrapping and came up with this layout and card using the sketch posted.

These are the flowers in the corner so you can see them. I love how they matched the paper.

I did this sketch using the pictures of when my cousin and I went to Vegas in February. No camera's were allowed inside so we took the pictures outside. I used the Max & Mollie line along with Bling. This was a perfect sketch for these pictures.

On this card sketch I also used Max & Molly along with a lot of black bling. I put some flowers and that cute little "Stinker".

Hope you enjoyed these sketches, since I really did and the paper was perfect for my projects.

New Tim Holtz Die

I was lucky and went to the Scrapbooking Convention in Del Mar today and got some fabulous things. I came home and played with one of my new Tim Holtz edge dies.
This was perfect for a friend who has bought a retirement home. It was so fun to do. I think I will make more for my friends.

LUCKY to Find Sugar Cookies

Here is a layout that I did this weekend using Nikki Sivils Sugar Cookies line. I love the paper and find it is hard to find but I was Lucky to find it so I could use it for this layout I could see in my mind. I wanted to use the paper, pink pearls, lace, doille, tattered angels and my pretty picture of my new puppy Brandi.
I must tell you that I love to use Nikki's products and create. So now here is my layout and tell me what you think.
I fussy cut the heart border and extra hearts and added pink pearl bling to the paper and flourish pearls to the corner.

The reason I call it LUCKY ADOPTION, is because I adopted her from Beagles & Buddies and she is only 9 months old. We were the lucky family to be able to bring her home and we totally adore her and she fits in with Jager perfectly. So this layout has the perfect title of Lucky Adoption.

Shaped Lamp card

Hi Everyone,
I had the best time making this card. I sprayed Kraft cardstock to get the marbled look.
You know I just adore bling so what would a card be without it.
This was fun and going to a special person.
Each Wed I go to Starbucks to get a Chai Tea well the Starbucks has it's regulars and the girls know me.
So they had to shut down the water so the manager told them just have have regular brew and hand to customer for free so my girls knew I would be there and says she doesn't drink coffee so they made(chai tea) this special for me was ready when I got there. I felt so spoiled , honored and appreciated.
As a customer I will by a loyal Starbucks probably for the rest of my life just this gesture alone. I thought she deserved something in return. Of course she loved her little surprise I gave her back.
How about that for Customer Service.

Nikki Sivils Cards

I have been playing with several of the new packages from Nikki Sivils new collections: It's Your Day (Birthday Collection), and Sugar Cookie (my favorite).

This is one I made for my cousin to show her how much I care for her. She has been down and I think Sugar Cookie is the best paper to work with these colors.

The next card is the one I did for my sketch on Sassy Lil Sketches. I used the line It's Your Day. I added a doily that has been sprayed with Glimmer Mist to match the paper.

I will show you more later this week.

Hi, I am doing the March 14th sketch from Sassy Lil Sketches

Here is the sketch we were given and I used Nikki Sivils new paper using the birthday line. I put a spin on it as you will see.

Here is my take on it. I used Nikki Sivils Birthday line as I told you and added a doily which I used Tattered Angels mist to get it to match the pink that was on the card and the color was Sweet Pea. I also used some white brads to put the celebrate tag on and some yarn instead of ribbon.

I hope you enjoy and I can't wait to use more of the Nikki Sivils paper to do some layouts.

Thank you Nikki for supplying the DT's with the paper, it was a pleasant surprise.

Pages from the Heart My New Favorite Lss

Well as we all know due to Economic times some of the Brick and Mortar's are falling to the way side
it's hard to touch, feel, go to a physical store.
I personal love to shop this way online prices for freight I rarely do unless it's a group buy or one of these
events.
I treat myself ever so often to some fun new items. This year is the year of the tool.
Why the year of the tool because the tools you can actually make your own embellishments
which I'm trying to do a bit more due to the fact there isn't somewhere just to run and get everything
from. A store can only carry so much. So I am focusing on purchasing dies, punches, ephiphany is my
new love so anything tool related...
So this is the store I took the Nikki Sivils class and boy was that so much fun. It's got a real character this
store so if you are looking for a store to buy some scrappy supplies in Southern California this is the
place to go...

Here is the owner of the store carrying one of my favorite lines. P.s. Nikki Signed the sign for her to how cool is that.

Here is a photo of the class but look at the cute brick is this store so give it a try I know you won't be disappointed.

So as you see how sweet the store is we had a full class.
Crops are usually sold out so come on in and take a peek. All the Local Lss need your support the Shop hop will be soon so go out and support as many as you can. We all love to crop with friends and so I say to you my friends go out and support your Lss.

There is local places great to eat and there is a local Movie theater if you want to shop and
hubby take in a movie? or while you take a class your kids and hubby can take in a movie.
Real cute part of town. I'm just sayin.... I am gonna crop there
in a couple weeks with some old friends. I haven't had much time but this year I am on Scrap
Fever.... I love my crafty time and I make a lot of gifts for friends and all my cards are made
never bought!

Best Creations Birthday Card

I the new line of "Let's Party" by Best Creations. It is very glittery and "blingy" that fit me to a tea as my friends can testify. I had so much fun layering the 6 X 6 paper and making a smaller size Rosette flower by using the Tim Holtz die.

I know my Aunt will love it. She will turn 91 on Friday. Thanks for the challenge.

Imaginisce cake party favors

Once again I am hosting a Red Hat Birthday Tea Party and decided to make the favors early so I did not have to rush and complete them. I used some Lucy Bird paper from Imaginisce, my I Rock to add bling, my I Bond to use the glue gun and some felt border. I found this pattern a long time ago, but decided to pull it out and make them and fill them with chocolates and have them sitting on a cake plate. I made Roly Poly flowers with the left over paper, and they came out good.

I used the colors of yellow, pink and blue. This is my sweet treat, what better than a cake filled with chocolate. I know the ladies will enjoy.

I will explain the pictures that I have posted.

Here is one slice taken out and you can see the I Rock Bling, with the Roly Poly flowers.

Guess who I met Last Night?

I am still on Cloud 9 from last night. I took a class from a LSS that Nikki Sivils was teaching. She brought her new line It's Raining, It's Raining and we made a double page layout (I am finishing up and I will show you) and 1 card (I need to put my touches on it). We got to take home the leftovers and I have some ideas for that. Then I won a door prize which was another of the lines to be released this weekend --Max & Mollie. I took Liz with me as an early birthday present, but had to involve her husband to get her there secretly. She is up on the same stars as me. I got some great pictures that I hope to scrap on the paper this weekend or shall I say soon.

Birthday Box

Today's creation is a box I altered using Imaginisce Product -- Birthday Bash, I Rock and I Bond and had a great time doing it. The box is octagon shaped so I varied the paper and added I rock's to anywhere I saw circles so in the light it does sparkle.
This is what it started out like (I think this was a box that someone gave me for my birthday in December).

and it now looks like this

Along the way I thought you would like to see the top and sides. The top has 3 flowers on top with button centers.

2 Sketches for December

I have been so busy at home that I keep forgetting to post 2 things I have done with a Sassy Lil Sketch. The layout, I did using the Layout

Sketch from December 21st and turned it. It gave me a start on where to go with this one.

The next sketch I did was a card just before Christmas using up my scraps from Tinsel & Twigs and using my Tim Holtz Tape around the center where my sentiment is and I love how it came out. Now this was from the card sketch of December 14th.

My Ornament Exchange

Well I finished 27 of the ornaments for my yearly exchange of soccer Mom's whom I met when the boys played soccer -- years ago. Now the wives of the boys are coming and it is great to catch up on what the kids became when they grew up and who is a Grandmother now.

These are cookie cutters in Snowflakes and a few Candy Canes spattered in. I wrapped them with scrap paper using the Helmar 450 glue (that stuff is amazing and so easy to work with).

This is for the Crazy Card sketch #3 over at Sassy Lil Sketches. i started with 1, then 2 and stopped at 3. They were very easy to do when you are on a roll.
I used Apple Cider by Imaginisce, some M's stickers, my Cuttlebug embossing folder and Sassy's sketch.

Sassy Lil Sketches Cards

I finished up these cards on Friday night and forgot to post them and they are for the sketches at Sassy Lil Sketches.
One was a request from my son for a friend who graduated from college and she loves pink so I did this.

this was inspired by the card sketch on 10/14/10.

the other is a birthday card for someone at work and that was inspired by Crazy Card Sketch #2 at Sassy.

Sketchy Thursday Sketches and Halloween Cards

I have been busy this weekend and finally finished my Halloween Cards and got them addressed.

Then I made two layouts that I am posting. It was just that kind of weather to get things done. I used the sketch from Sketchy Thursday for the first one.

Well I own a cricut but yet to use it, but this should do the trick I cannot wait for this to hit the doorstep...I am hoping to buy someone a cup of coffee to show me how to play with it and or when I go to a crop again someday! It's been so long since I've cropped away from home.

My Baby's Birthday

Today I am celebrating my Baby's Birthday and feeling very old. He is 24 today and a MAN, not a baby. It is hard for a Mom to think that way. We celebrated his birthday this weekend at Olive Garden, since that is where he wanted to go. Today he got called for Jury Duty, what a birthday gift.

I have been on a roll the last couple of days and I am back into making cards. I did two more Halloween Cards tonight using the first Monday Carzy Card Sketch #1 at Sassy lil' Sketches.

Using up the rest of the BoBunny I had and some

embellishments I got at Michael's.

The sketch inspired me to do two and I only have two more to go.

Good Morning

I thought I would try to get a start on my Halloween Cards and do World Card Day at the same time and that got me going.

I Did this one using BoBunny's Whoo-ligans Boo with some Basic Grey Zig Zag Velvet Ribbon and cardstock.

This one I used the same BoBunny paper and matching stickers along with a couple of buttons.

Don't give up on me I've cleared my space and still working on getting the house back in order but I am gonna start making some time to create cards, gifts and will share with you all.

I am totally trying to get back to my world of crafting in which I miss so much.

I have two stamps sets I bought and I do love Unity / Ippity these sets are not for me I guess just cause my friends were getting them. I am more of word stamp person on my cards .. I do more scrapping these days as well I have two sons and still yet to complete a full album for either I am scrapping randomly . So I would like to sell these off I will also ship them for free included only domestic NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. I have not a clue how to fill out forms and the shipping would be more than the stamps
These are both ippity stamps that I bought they are red etched stamps .. I will be trying to sell some more later down the road as well but for now these two sets is what I have pulled out that I decided that they can be better used by a talented stamper.

Friends Birthday's using Unscripted Sketches #71

Summer is coming to a close and I am getting back to crafting and projects being done around the home. I have a few friends birthday's and I am out of cards so I had to get busy.
Here are 2 cards I made today:

I had fun with my CuttleBug and of course I used Bling to jazz it up.

This card I also used the CuttleBug and used a banner. I call these clean and simple. It also follows the sketch for Unscripted Sketches # 71

YUMMY FRUIT DIP -- very addicting

Ok I did another recipe for my recipe album. I wanted to do something summery that every seems to ask for over and over. It is my YUMMY FRUIT DIP and I use all kinds of fruit with it. I love berries of all kinds or peaches and pears. I bet you can use whatever you would like. It is so refreshing and totally addicting.

Here is the recipe since it is hard to see:
1 13 ounce Jar Marshmellow Creme or Fluff
1 8 ounce Lite package of Cream Cheese
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice.
Combine in bowl until smooth and refrigerate for a couple of hours which preparing fruit.

Now for the recipe on the making of the recipe card:
I used Red Bazzill cardstock for the background, Shabby Green Door for the apron which is a die cut you can find at Thoughts2paper (recipe fits in the pocket of the apron), Ribbon from Michaels, Bling from Heidi Swapp, American Crafts rose ribbon, and letters by Making Memories. I even found the recipe cards at Michaels.

Yummy Salad Recipe!!!

I thought I would show you what I scrapped for Thoughts2paper. I am busy making a recipe album for my friend for Christmas. So I wanted to scrap this easy salad recipe that my cyber friend Elisabeth gave me. I even have pictures of the salad I made and I totally loved it.

Here is my rendition of Sketch #6 from Thoughts2paper. I used Bo Bunny to help me with the sketch. The paper I used is Sophie and it had the decoration of flowers on the side which I kinda saw the brackets in it. I also used Sophie chipboard to raise some of the elements and the journal box. I used bling flowers and centers of bling from Michael's. The adhesive was Pop Dots toraise up the 8 pictures. (side note that if you get a college sized 4X6 and pick 4 pictures they come out the correct size). I think wallet sized photo's might work also.

I found a new Sketch that I loved on Thoughts2paper

A new sketch was put up yesterday on Thoughts2paper. It is sketch #5 and it called to some wedding pictures I have so I tried it. I hope you like it and give it a try -- i could see people using this one for all occasions.

I have been cleaning out my paper stash and I know the printed light eggplant came out of a pad I bought at Michael's. The punch I used was a Martha Stewart daisy one. The other papers are Bazzill gray and light eggplant. the letters are thickers.
The gentleman on the right is my oldest son and the wedding was set at Condors Nest in Temecula, CA.

Happy Birthday Matthew!!!

Hard to believe my oldest son is 25. It was tough raising him and brother, but I managed by myself. We had a lot of trials, tribulations and bumps in the road, but all-in-all he turned out fine and I lived. That little small bundle that was only 6lbs.6oz. and about 22 inches long is now 6'4" and not sure how much he weights. Where has the time gone? It does fly in my house!

Anyway I want to share the card I made for his birthday. I must say that I avoid making cards for males since they are hard for me. He even complimented me so I know I did good. I must say that inside I put a quarter and he thought it was a cute idea.

I need to show you 2 graduation cards I made last week, and they are both easel cards. The maroon and gray card is for my TA who is graduating this Thursday but I wanted to give her the gift I got for her on the last day she was in class. Here it is:

The next one I made for my buddy that I teach with. We both started the Master's Program together at Cal Poly Pomona and she finished, paper included. I finished the classes but have not written my thesis. I have 5 years left and we will see what happens.
