Lots of Layers at Cards in Envy

Today is a new challenge at Cards in Envy.

It is called Layers Challenge or commonly called Lots of Layers.

Remember  use an A2 size card with lots of layers.  Also remember it needs to be relatively flat (no bumpy or lumpy things sticking up).  It needs to fit into a normal envelope and use regular postage only.

 So I had this paper that matched in my scraps pile, took out a doily by Martha Stewart, used some twine, and then SRM sentiment.  This is what I came up with:

My first Christmas Card at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog

Well, it is time for another post from Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog.
Today s Challenge #10 -- A Little Bit Sketchy.  It is sponsored by Starry Nights Studio Sketch, who is offering 4 digi images to the winner.  The challenge runs July 15 - July 28.

This one has a sketch that you must do along with a stamp or digi on the card.
Here is the sketch:

I used the digi "On a Winter's Day" and ran it off on vellum and backed it with white paper, type out a sentiment on vellum in a text box, used some sparkly Christmas snowflake buttons, and added a red ribbon for accent.  This is a start on my start with Christmas Cards.

TURTLE SOUP FORUM OPENS TODAY, MONDAY JULY 1st

It's Monday and guess what happens????  Turtle Soup Forum opens today, so go over and check it out.  We already have games going and a sketch that all of the DT's did that Bev Code drew.  I LOVE IT!!!!

I hope to see more of my friends joining and trying some of the challenges.  There is something for everyone.

All Mini Crop Challenges start the 3rd Friday and you have until the end of next week on Saturday midnight EST to complete your project.

You also have the option of doing either 1 Layout, 2 Cards or 2 Tags or 2 ATC's. When you have ccompleted your project add to the gallery and link back to here to share with us.

Great sketch over at Cards in Envy

Cards in Envy is having the last sketch this term.  We are having a lot of changes there, with 3 new members.  I am staying on for another term.  The next year will be challenges only.
The challenge starts today, Monday, July 1st  at 12:00 a.m. Central Time and ends July 14th at 11:55 p.m. Central Time.
Please create and share A2 (4.25" x 5.5") cards that fit in an envelope with no lumpy bumpy flowers, buttons or embellishments.

This inspired me to use some of my left over Jillibean Soup.  I used embellishments, paper and stickers and some cardstock.

Anything Goes at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog this time

Today starts a new challenge at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog.   Challenge #9 is ANYTHING GOES and runs July 1-14. The challenge is sponsored by The Crafting Boutique which is a $10 shopping spree at the store.

So for this challenge I wanted to do something different and came up with a patriotic tag,  I started by using Stampers Anonymous American Silhouettes, Distress Inks, and  Idea-ology Products by

Sketches: Creatively Yours new reveal

A new sketch is up at Sketches: Creatively Yours, and it is sketch 9-13. 
The inspiration we were given was: 
and you could use it in any way you like  == like promote textural, colour, shape, or topic inspiration, or anything that makes you feel creative.

So for my inspiration I used the Horizon of Ireland, from a photo my son took on his trip.  I also used the clouds from the picture and here is my layout.

I used Heidi Swapp paper with grey ink, cardstock, thickers, Elle's Studio - boys will be boys and October Afternoon -- Travel Girl.
