Retirement pages

This weekend I went to a scrap with "Embellish It" in Garden Grove, CA.  It w fabulous and I got some pages done along with some classes.
I am sharing with you a layout I did of my Retirement Party using Basic Grey Lucille, their embellishments, buttons and twine.  It worked perfect for me to use those pictures and I got a 2 page spread done.

So here they are and now I have to document on the page with me on it and put in my book.  Very easy and nice looking.

Gift Card for Chritmas 2013

I know the Holiday season has passed, but I wanted to use up some paper I had from Jillibean Soup, so no one says you can't be prepared for next holiday season.  I know I will give gift cards so I made another gift card holder that will be perfect for first class mail.  I used the Christmas collection from Jillibean Soup, some washi tape , a small coin envelope to hold the gift card. and some red cardstock from Stampin'Up.

This is what I came up with:

Happy Birthday Tim!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM!!!

Those of you who really know me know that I adore his work and know I am trying to do more, but I am no where's as good as he is.  I totally love his inspiration that he gives me and the Steampunk stuff goes so well with my Boys layouts.

Anyway, I ran across a challenge at Studio L3 to make a birthday card for Tim.  So I was all over this and very intimidated and knew I could not do a perfect tag, but could make a card using his product and techniques.  So I made him an easel card using his embossing folder on Coordinations Paper and sanded it.  Next I stamped my favorite stamp -- the umbrella man, which I backed in paper.  Next I needed a sentiment so I used his letters and took the word Happy Birthday and put it all which ways, like Tim has letters in his desk.

Sorry, it took  long to finish this post but Blogger seems to be having problems so I will show you the entire card also, but the pictures are not going where I want them to so bear with me.

Here is the total card:

Hope you had a fabulous Day Tim and thanks again fr the inspiration.

My 12 favorites from 2012

Happy New Year!!  I can't believe it is 2013 already.

I thought I would pick my top 12-- 1 for each month.

January found me scrapping Matthew's new toy.

February found me scrapping my little get away to Vegas and the jackpot I won.

March was this Easter card I made.  Love the pink and I am not a pink person.

April was my tags based on the directions from Tim Holtz

May found me capturing a picture of Matthew,

June was an old team baseball team shot of Matthew from 1991.

July was making LOTS of Thank You's for all my parties.

August was doing a page of when Kenny got his tonsils out (finally)

September was another Tim Holtz tag I LOVED!!!!

October I did this layout of a castle from Ireland using a black and white photo and Halloween paper distressed.  This was my favorite layout of 2012

November was Kenny's bike he got for his birthday.

December brought me to finishing pages for the Ireland Christmas album gift.

I did not count how many layouts I did but I know I did more than last year, since I had more time.

Can I have your autograph?

Hello,

This weekend I did several pages at Roughley Manor and I would like to share one with you.  In November I saw Tim Holtz and he signed my jacket and my friends took pictures and I decided to scrap it using the sketch from My Scraps & More.

Here is the sketch:

and here is my take on it:

I even got to put the umbrella man that was on the jacket on the page.

SNOWMEN CARDS

Hi everyone,

Well, it is December and the holiday's are approachng very quick this year.  So I sat down with my kit from Jillibean Soup and modified it t fit what I wanted to do with it.
The supplies I used were:  cardstock, Jillibean Soup, pearls, glitter, Studio Calico snowflakes, Trendy Twine in the Christmas color, Trendy Tape, an Doodlebug Snowmen.  I think I got all my supplies except for pop dots to make things higher up with dimensions and my trusty adhesive.
These card were made for the two challenges I have over at My Sketch World and the challenge from Trendy Twine to use Candy Cane and/or Holl Berry.  I used Candy Cane and have more to make using it.

Here is one:

and here is the second one using most of the same supplies:

I love those little snowmen -- they make it perfect. Photobucket Photobucket
