Oh Happy Day

Today I would like to share the layout I did for the Just Imagine Store using the Kreaxions punch #923.  http://www.justimaginecrafts.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=26_50&products_id=218
Our subject was the men in our lives and I picked my son before his wedding.  He would not admit it, but he was nervous and relieved some of the jitters by throwing the football before getting dressed.
Here is the layout:
And here is a closer picture to show the punching and the circles.

Here is the sketch:
Such a fun sketch to do, I really love Lucy's sketches.
Here is my take using the subject of my first 5K

I used Jillibean Paper and card stock.  I also used Kreaxions punches to complete the layout.

Many Thanks

A friend of mine is having a Surprize Birthday Party and the ones who scrap with her are making gifts she will use after the party.  I was given the task of making the thank you cards, 25 of them.  So I know her likes are red, hearts, and banners and her favorite is chevrons.  I had to think about this awhile and this is what I came up with.
I used punch number 906 with insert A.  http://www.justimaginecrafts.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=26_50&products_id=204

In the last picture you can see the chevrons on the top and bottom, it is red, the flower has a middle center of a red heart and last I even used the punch to make a banner ( just by trimming it after the dip in the chevron between the two points).  I can't wait to see her face next week.

I think I will make the gift pack for the cards like Bev showed us yesterday ( Saturday) and put half on each side.  The punches work in anyway you want them to, just takes some imagination.

Guest Designer over at Cupcards To Go

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to shout from the roof top that I am guest designer for the Month of May at Cupcards To Go  so come and check it out.  http://www.cupcardstogo.typepad.com
This is the kit I was lucky to work with.  It is really cute, especially the birdies.
It is called  "Devoted", go over and. Check it out.

Here are the cards I made with the kit and I still have paper left.

Like I said paper was left, so I made some gift tags.  This kit is very easy to create with.
Check out the site and hope to see you play the challenge.

May Flowers are the new challenge at Cards in Envy

May is here and we have a new challenge over at Cards in Envy.  The challenge deals with flowers, but remember they have to fit in the envelope and can't be lumpy or bumpy.  Last they must be the A2 size.  The challenge will start today until May 18th at 6PM Central Time.

Here is my example:
I used Jillibean Soup Paper and their epoxy buttons (love them because they are so flat and thin), Trendy Twine, and We 'R Memory Keepers letters.

I hope to see you come over and participate.  I know all of you have some kind of flat flowers you would love to use.

Have a great day everyone.

April Showers

Hope everyone had a nice Easter and some family time.  It was beautiful weather for that egg hunt.
Well, the weatherman said we are getting some rain over the weekend, so I guess they can call it "April Showers".
Over at Cards in Envy, there is a new challenge starting now through May 4th.  Remember, this card is the A2 size and not lumpy or bumpy so it only costs 1 stamp to mail.
Here is my card:
This card was made using Jillibean Soup Easter line from last year.  Love these little "Peeps" and the sentiment was perfect to send to my friend.
Come on over to play with us at Cards in Envy, http://www.cardsinenvy.blogspot.com

Hoppity Hoppity

Hello everyone,

New challenge up at Cards in Envy!!!  This challenge runs from now until April 20th at 6 p.m. Central Time.  The challenge is to do an A2 card that is not bumpy and lumpy and will fit into an envelope using 1 stamp, with the theme of Hippity Hoppity Easter is on it's way.

So I took time to make an Easter card to send to my friend.

I had fun making this card, and here it is.
Hope you come over and play with us.  I thought the saying from, Jillibean's line was perfect for this challenge.

Proposal

Hello Everyone,

I want to show you how I used the best and fabulous Circle Cutter.  I wasn't sure of the size, but that did not matter, all I did was look at my picture and figure where I wanted the center to be and cut the circle.  I knew I wanted a bigger circle that was about 1/2" to border the picture, and the Circle Cutter allows me to do this.  I don't need to have different size punches because I can make the circle to fit my needs.  I used to hate to do circles since I never had the size punch and now I try to use circles as much as I can.

Here is my layout:

If you would like to buy a Circle Cutter, here is a link to Just Imagine Online Store.

Happy Birthday Circles

I just got the new birthday collection from Jillibean Soup and was excited to show it off.  So I decided I would use buttons and I used my Circle Cutter to make a circle bigger than the button.  The good thing about the Circle Cutter is you can make the circle any size you want, it does not limit your creativity.

Here is my card:
It is such a happy card with the colors.  I used 3 layers, 2 are white and 1 is orange.  1 of the white pieces is embossed and the buttons are put on the circles and have twine in them.

I think my friend will enjoy the card.
