School's Out Forever!!!!

Day 10:
I have been trying to alternate between layouts and cards, but today I am going to do a layout again and then 2 days of cards.  I know it  takes more time to do a layout than a card, but I was on a roll with the challenges from My Scraps & More who had a BACK 2 Class Crop.  They had a lot of amazing challenges that got me going and going with the pictures I have.  I still have more I want to do and I have all this week.

Here is my layout for today:

It is based on the song title "School's Out" and I picked up one of the words from the chorus line and added Forever on the banner.

Now you have an idea why I have more time to scrap.

Fireworks Light up the Blog

Day 9 of posting and still going strong.
I made this layout for the 4th of July.  I have had this paper with the stars so not sure who it is, some red braid trim, Karen Foster Bling, Thickers, Tulle, cut out Journal card from Spellbinders and printed it on Vellum and attached to cardstock.  I have 2 star pins one is white & the other is red.

I have never taken pictures of fireworks until this year and picked the best ones.  These are some of the fireworks that were shot off (illegally) in our neighborhood and all we could do is see them high in the sky.

Jillibean Soup Spotted Owl Birthday Card

Day 8, I am still posting but did not get it in at midnight and had to work on a birthday card today, but I finished it before midnight so it counts.
I made this Jillibean Soup birthday card using Spotted Owl Soup, Frames from Jillibean and twine.  I used all squares except for the owl I cut out and the wonky frame I wrapped in twine.
I am also using this for a challenge at ScrapFit to use twine.

Meeting Garth Layout

Day 7 -- Today's posting is a layout I did about something I did about a month ago.  I have never done this before but our local weatherman for Channel 7 had a food drive to help food banks.  So I took $20 and bought what I could and the boys also chipped in and took it to where Garth Kemp was.

Here is the Layout:

I used a Red Hemp, some paper I had gotten in a kit, Star paper clips and a journaling tag that I used a spiral punch first.  I journaled what I had done that day.

Teacher Inspirational Cards for my Friends

Day 6 and I feel like I was an over achiever.  I starting making 1 card for a challenge at My Sketch World with an Apple on it and decided my 4 friends who still work at school could probably use some encouragement for making it through the week, so I made 4 cards with Apples.  I have already put them in envelopes and they are ready to be mailed off tomorrow.
I used paper from We 'R Memory Keepers, card stock, Reflection & Jolee stickers, blackboard labels, blackboard chalk pen and paper clips to get the effect of school.

Here they are:

I hope these inspire my friends to make it through the year.

Double Trouble Layout with dog problems

Here is Day 5 post and while I was taking a picture of the layout I went to move it and it had an accident.  Either I didn't glue 1 letter or didn't glue it well enough and it fell off, I went to go grab it and my dog had it already.  I think he thought the grungy letter was a treat.  By the time he finished with it , it did not look like the letter "B".  So I drove to 3 stores and looked at 2 stores online and no one had the letters.  Well, I have found it now and it is on order, but I am posting it even thought it is missing the "B".  I will post when it arrives.  I have never had that happen before, guess he was hungry.

So here is my layout and the title should read "Double Trouble".  I used the challenge for doing the same picture twice at My Sketch World.

I used Tim Holtz Paper pad, his words put together like something I wanted to say, clips, twine, ribbon, and resist alphabets using stain over them to match the blue.

Happy 26 Card

Day 4 and I am still going.  Today I am going to show you a card which I did for the challenge at Studio L3 that uses the book A Compendium of Curiosities Volume II from Tim Holtz.  The challenge is on Page 41 which deals with Kraft Resist and made a grungy looking card for my son's birthday next month.
This card also fit's for the R challenge at My Sketch World which stands for Roughing it up.

Here it is:

I used The resist Paper pad by Tim Holtz, twine, distresser, and Tim Holtz Stains, Picket Fence and Faded Jeans.
