This weekend I got to go scrapping and did several pages from the birthday sketches that Lucy put on My Sketch World. Some were easy and some were challenging. Usually when I work I can do 3-4 in one month. This month I have completed 8 pages with her sketch help.
So here is my favorite sketch:
I liked it because it had so many elements and I could use a variety of items to embellish the page.
This is what I came up with:
Let's see if I can tell you what I used for this: Green Bazzil Cardstock, My Mind's Eye, Vanilla Bazzil Cardstock, Buttons, Twine, used a scalloped punch, some cardboard, some burlap, and thickers.
I had so much fun working on this with a picture I took of Fremont St. in Las Vegas.

Another Boy's Rule Sketch with My Mind's Eye
Over the weekend I got to play with My Mind's Eye line called Fun Days and a sketch from Boy's Rule Scrapbook Kit Blog. I used my son's picture from Christmas and I loved the sketch.
The Sketch:
and here is my take on this:
I distressed the stars with Coredinations Paper, used the embellishments and thickers for the "men", the circle I distressed with Tim Holtz ink and sanded it to get the look.

NEVER GO OUT OF STYLE is my latest page
This weekend I took some time to play with a kit I got from Boys Rule Scrapbook Kits and had so much fun gong out of my box and working on my MAN pages. They had a sketch over there and I had the picture and paper so I went to town.
Here is the sketch:
And here is what I came up with using the fabulous paper from We R Memory Keepers called Vintage T
and here is what I did in the corner
The only thing I added to the kit was the studs. Now it even came with the Cat's Eye to ink and distress. It really is a fabulous kits if you have boys and has lots of unique embellishments.
