TIME FLIES!!!!

Happy Birthday Matthew!!!

Hard to believe my oldest son is 25.  It was tough raising him and brother, but I managed by myself.  We had a lot of trials, tribulations and bumps in the road, but all-in-all he turned out fine and I lived.  That little small bundle that was only 6lbs.6oz. and about 22 inches long is now 6'4" and not sure how much he weights.  Where has the time gone?  It does fly in my house!

Anyway I want to share the card I made for his birthday.  I must say that I avoid making cards for males since they are hard for me.  He even complimented me so I know I did good.  I must say that inside I put a quarter and he thought it was a cute idea.

Here is the card.

Congratulations to the Graduates

I need to show you 2 graduation cards I made last week, and they are both easel cards.  The maroon and gray card is for my TA who is graduating this Thursday but I wanted to give her the gift I got for her on the last day she was in class.  Here it is:
The next one I made for my buddy that I teach with.  We both started the Master's Program together at Cal Poly Pomona and she finished, paper included.  I finished the classes but have not written my thesis.  I have 5 years left and we will see what happens.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THOSE GRADUATING !!!!

Where I Keep My Recipes

Today I thought I would show you what I am making for a Christmas gift.  I am scrapping my recipes at Thoughts2paper, so I thought I would put them in an album.  I altered this item and used a lot of fun things including glitter and I am sure my friend will love it.
Here is a picture of it:

All of these items I used are carried at Thoughts2paper store.
I used the assorted ribbons on the rings to spice them up.  The word RECIPES was included so I glittered each letter with Martha Stewart glitter to match the Basic Grey Nook and Pantry Paper.  On the top you see a rolling pin and knife that are also glittered by Maya Road.  ( the store has a pending order on these first batch sold out.) I used Mod Podge to adhere the paper to the MDF Recipe Album (also  into the store).  The letter were adhered to the paper with Helmar 450 adhesive.

I am so excited about this that I took another picture so you can see the inside is covered also and my recipes are waiting to be put into the album.

I hope you enjoy this project and the products can be found in the store.
