Trendy Twine Challenge

This is a repost from when my dog ate the letter "B" a couple of weeks ago.  I never showed you what it looked like finished.  Remember I used Tim Holtz technique on the letters, used a Polaroid look on the pictures of my sons and wrapped it in twine from Trendy Twine in the color of Chocolate Sprinkle.  I added a little ribbon to give it accent and did it for the challenge on Trendy Twine during the month of September.

and here is a close up so you can see.

2 Birthday Cards

Today is Day 30 and the last day of September.  I did it!!!!  I posted everyday and made something new to show you and I can say I got a lot of things done.  I started out posting at midnight and now it is 10:30 and I am finally posting but still part of Sept. 30th.  I hope you enjoyed my work.
Today I did 2 birthday cards.

The first one is using Little Yellow Bicycle -- Hello Spring, some velvet scalloped ribbon, banner dies from MFT, and SRM Stickers.

The second is Using Jillibean Soup -- Spotted Owl Soup, cardstock and SRM Stickers.

Hope you have enjoyed all my work this month -- I was busy and did  a lot more than I usually do.

** Note I realized it was only September 30th today and not yesterday so I am working on a layout to post real soon.

Alcohol Ink Christmas Ornaments

Day 28 and the realization that Christmas will be here in less than 3 months.  So I went to Hobby Lobby and got some clear square shaped ornaments and loved how Tim Holtz did the July tag with alcohol ink and a can of air.  So I went onto ranger site and sure enough they did a Christmas ornament their also.  I used the colors of Silver,Red Pepper, and Clover and came up with this.  I tried to get a good picture, but the beauty of it is not coming through.  I am going to try more using P)earl with the colors and see what happens.  I tied a bow on top, but might change that to ribbon, not sure.

This is all the same ornament just took the pictures at different angels to try to show you what it looked like.

3 spotted Owls sending Birthday Wishes

Day 27 and I am doing this challenge.  Today I created a Birthday card which I need many of for my friends.  I used Spotted Owl Soup by Jillibean Sup which is one of my MOST favorite lines of paper.  The only other things I used was twine, circle punch and a circle scalloped punch.  I was inspired to do this by a challenge on My Scraps and More issued by Lisa.  She wanted us to use a bird and my bird is the owl.

the gang

Day 26 brings a layout I wanted to do for My Scraps and More.  They posted a monthly sketch and I have never tried it, so it was time.  I used 1 of my retirement pictures, some Canvas Corp paper, cardstock, some trim and some letters from Nikki Sivils.  Later I added bling and a doiley.

This is the sketch:

and here is my take on this.  Totally out-of-my-box with the paper I used.

Happy Fall

Day 25 brings us to fall.  I decided to make fall card using a Bingo card I had in my stash, some leaves with glittered edges, cardstock and some mini alphabet stickers.  I did not use a sketch on this only an idea.

4 x 4

Day 24 is going to be a card since my card stack is going down.  I have been doing lots of pages and ignoring all these scraps I have, so I decided to make a few cards.  This card was made with a prize I won from Wendi.  I found a challenge on My Scraps & More which said to make a card a different size.  You could not make an A4 sized card.  I also combined a change-it-up sketch from My Sketch World using this sketch and using 2 patterned papers.

This is what I came up with to send to a friend who has been having a hard time.

Celebrate in Style

Day 23 of this challenge and it is getting a lot easier and I am making time to do this.  This is important to me and my viewers, so please leave a comment so I know you stopped by.
Today's layout is from a Retirement Party the Red Hat's threw for me.  I used the Bella Blvd line called Birthday Girl and it was not a Birthday Party but Retirement with perfect colors, twine, buttons, bling and eggplant cardstock.
I found this sketch on Lets Get Sketchy and loved it.

and here is my take on it:

Dubland, Ireland

Hi and this is Day 22.  I was going to do a card, but My Sketch World had a 1 hour sketch and this is what I came up with.  I am scrapping some of the pictures my son sent me from Ireland to start their album.  I used the name of the castle as the banner and the city and Ireland.  I also put Day 1 so they won't forget.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my take:

I used simple Bo Bunny paper with the dots and a banner die to cut the fish tales.

District Recognition

Day 21 and ending the week.  I am working on a Retirement Album so I started doing this one which was the first of a train of parties.  Since I wore black & white I decided to carry that theme and then add red for a pop of color.  I used Washi Tape, bling, flowers, not sure of the line of paper, cardstock and wrote my journaling on the computer on vellum.  It was a good memory to do of myself.

Most Beautiful

Well, Day 20 is here and I am finally getting this posted.  I decided to bring a little Spring to the blog with my roses and using Elizabeth Park line along with her embellishments and some thickers for the lettering.
Hope you enjoy.  I got to tell you that is the season I love when the flowers are new and the weather is mild.

Downtown

Wow, time flies, it is Day 19 and I am keeping up on posting.  I made a layout from a sketch that was at My Scraps & More for the Back 2 Class challenge.  I used CakeWalk paper and I love the soft colors, for the title I used Bling letters, and cardstock and this is what I came up with.

Of course these are shots of Downtown Vegas by the 4 Queens and the Golden Nugget.  I got to go there in January and had not been there since I was about 10.  It has changed and is a fun place.  That is where I won the largest jackpot I have won.

Melting Pot

Today is Day 18 and I need to put up the layout I did.  I can't believe I am getting later and later in the day to put up things.  I promise you I will get better and stop lagging.

OK, today's layout has to do with out Easter meal at the Melting pot.  It is a fondue place and we had appetizers, main course with veggies, and a dessert.  It was a fun and different experience.

I used letters from Nikki Sivils, twine, Elizabeth Park line and journal card and card stock.

I liked using the title for a banner like with the twine.

Dogs Stars in living color

Day 17 bring us to showing you a layout of the dogs.  I loved the Echo Park Set called "Woof".  I found some scraps and had these pictures of them together along with a book title for the Reading challenge on My Scraps & More.  I love the neutral shades and how they work with the beagles and of course we had to have some bling, since they are my Rock Stars.
