Hello to Everyone,
Today at Sketches: Creatively Yours we are doing a card sketch since this month has gone into the 5th week. The sketch was fabulous and made me think about Spring, since Easter is Sunday. So I came up with a Spring card to mail to my friend.
I used some old Pebbles paper and embellishments, the sentiment is from Authentique, and then some new burlap ribbon I got helped finished it up.
Here is the sketch:
and here was my take on it:
Come on over and play with us at Sketches: Creatively Yours
I know you can do it. Hope to see you there.

The Twinery Banner Challenge
Today I am posting a layout that I made and am entering in The Twinery's contest. The requirement is to use their twine and make a banner. On this layout I made a starbanner that went perfectly with the papers in the layout.
CupCards To Go -- Flutterby Kit
I bought a card kit from Cupcards To Go and challenged myself to make as many cards as I could. I enjoyed doing this since I was down on my cards and could use to make a few. I had t of fun with the kit since it had so much. It had 2 sheets of assorted spring like papers, embellishments (and I mean lots and all kinds), and then lots of stickers (which I really appreciated).
I started by making a card using their sketch for the kit:
and the rest of the cards are:
I made 8 other cards and the only supplies that we not included was twine I used and an Easter embellishment.
I hope you enjoy these cards, cause I know I do.

Challenge 2 at Love to Scrap!!! Challenge Blog
Hello Everyone,
The new challenge up at Love to Scrap!! Challenge Blog is up.
This challenge is called Emboss it! (Must use wet or dry embossing) It will be going from March 18-31 and is sponsored by The Crafting Boutique and the prize is a $10 shopping spree there.
I will show you what I made.
I used 2 shades of pink for the cardstock I used. Next I used a Polaroid frame by Reflections, which I used Washi Tape to give it a polka dot background. I had a sticker that said Happy Easter. I used the Digi Stamp BASKET BUNNY. I stickled the ears and nose pink, the paws black, and then cut out the basket out of beige. I cut the 2 eggs out and Washi Taped them with 2 different colors. I embossed the light pink cardstock with the folder by ProvCraft called Polka Dots.

Don't Use Ribbon at Cards in Envy
Hi Everyone,
I want to thank everyone who has come over to Cards in Envy and participated. It is good to see others having fun with challenges.
That leads me to this weeks challenge, it is to use paper strips instead of ribbon.
My card uses the paper line of Pebbles, Family Ties a then I used Washi Tape. I wanted to make a Springy type card since our weather has been climbing to the 80's and my flowers are blooming.
This is what I settle on and hope to see you over at Cards in Envy

Guest of Honor at Sketches: Creatively Yours
Hi Everyone,
It is time to post the next Sketch at Sketches: Creatively Yours. I loved doing this and decided to pull out of my favorite stash some paper from BoBunny "Sophie" and some double dot paper. I also used some bling from the set.
I enjoyed doing some pictures from my retirement party. The color on my top matched the inspiration colors of a peacock and so did the paper line. Everyone had camera's and I was getting pictures taken from all angle's. I realized I was the guest of honor and my son introduced me as one.
Enjoy the sketch and come over and play.

It's a Cupcake Kind of Day at Love to Scrap!!!
Remember I joined a new team as I told you and I have the first post for them today. Go check it out at Love to Scrap! Challenge blog!
The challenge was Anything Goes!
So I made a card using the sponsor's digi stamp (which you will get to choose the ones you want with a gift certificate to the site.) Our sponsor is Bugaboo and here is a link to their site http://www.bugaboostamps.com/
The description of my card is: I used pink cardstock, BoBunny Bold & Bright Double Dot Designs, Marvy punch to make the circle, Trendy Twine, and I paper pieced the cupcake.
I will now admit that this is my first Digi Stamp and it was not had paper piecing it.
Hope to see you come over and try the challenge.

New Cards in Envy sketch -- come over and play
After the last challenge of over 71 entered with stripes/polka dots, it gave me an idea to do another Polka Dot card using BoBunny Bold & Bright Double Dot Designs paper, EK Success small banner punch with black cardstock, Twine from The Twinery, Sentiment from Authentique.
Here is the sketch:
Very basic, but remember this has to fit in an envelope and have no extra postage when mailing it. So with all that in mind I came up with something very simple and a friend of mine said it is elegant.
I know I am going to send this to a very special friend who does a lot for me with all kind of surprises.
Come over to Cards in Envy and play with us. I know you can do this sketch, just don't over think it and you should have it done quickly.
